Energetic Nutrition - The Artistry of Nurturing | Addison Landry

Our practitioner spotlight this month is on Addison Landry, a Nutritionist and Post-partum Doula in Melbourne Australia.

In pursuing her career as a pastry chef, Addison went to the United States and settled in New York City.  During this time, she started working with Dr Alicia Armitstead B.S., D.C. where she was exposed to muscle testing techniques.  This introduction to energetic healing reinforced concepts she had learned as a child from her chiropractor parents. She realized her life’s passion went beyond food nourishment to the blending of many types of nourishment needed to support the whole person. From this exploration she formed her concept of what she calls Energetic Nutrition.

On her website upliftedcollective, she describes Energetic Nutrition as “a holistic and preventative approach that supports your unique system to create balance and synergy between mind, body and spirit.”

Nurturing the mother

Her passion for energetic nutrition extends to all types of clients, however she has developed a special bond with women in their childbearing years. Her primary focus has been to support women through their sacred journey of motherhood.  As she stated, “becoming a mother is a profound and life changing act.”

“Shifts in sleep patterns, hormones, family dynamics, increased visitors to the home, and the emotional needs of those around the mother, touch a woman on all levels of her being and ripple out to the members of her household.”

Addison connects her enthusiasm for energetic healing and being drawn to supporting women after birth from two inspiring experiences in her life. The first being that her mother was pregnant with her during her 2nd year of chiropractic school. “I attended all her classes with her in the womb and for the first year life!”

The 2nd experience was being present at the home birth of her brother, staying with her mother through the 12 hours of labor and birth.

Cellular Nourishment

During her time in New York, she went to a workshop on MFT taught by Dr. Springob. “It was a profound step above anything I had ever seen. The results were quicker, and everything was more effective. The clients were on smaller protocols, feeling better faster. It made sense, the concept of checking the energy first before going into the physical form of the body.”

Today back in Melbourne, Addison is a sought-after Postpartum Doula who provides sessions in the home that combine, MFT testing- both for physical and emotional support, massage, Reiki and nutrition counseling with food prep. She has honed her skill in the artistry of nurturing. She believes strongly in taking care of the caregiver with all forms of nourishment.

Her intention is for mothers to take these skills and the knowledge she provides and continue to use them beyond their childbearing years with the hopes of impacting the health and well-being of their children and family.

Addison's in-home support ebbs and flows with families based on their individual needs and postpartum journey. Having an office space allows her to see people of all walks of life supporting them with MFT technique. She has also seen many of the postpartum families' children and family members too.

One client story Addison shared was about a 7-year-old boy, Hayden who had “tummy” issues. When he came to the office, he had no energy and wouldn't look her in the eyes.

She determined that part of the issue was due to choline exposure from on-going swimming lessons. She also concluded that gluten, and GMO products needed to be removed from his diet and emotions needed to be cleared from his energy field.

She hoped the family would be willing to make the necessary changes and that Hayden would take the protocol she had recommended. As she said, “I hoped for the best.”

Addison received a call three days later. His mom told her he was happy again and not in pain. She told Addison that he said, “Happy Hayden is back!” To this day he’s happy and healthy and none of the symptoms he originally saw her for have returned.

Artistry begins with the proper tools

Her favorite MFT kits have been the Fundamental kits: Red, White, and Blue, along with the Special Situations kit and the Emotional Unwind with Bio-Resonators. Addison has found these so profound in the support of mothers after birth. Helping them move through and clear emotions creates space for healing and alignment.Additional kits Addison has found supportive are the Cell Cytokines Pillar and the General Energenomics Pillar.

She shared some thoughts for new MFT practitioners. When she started out what ran through her head were things such as “Am I doing this the right way? Am I testing properly?” She stated “You watch the effortless way Dr. Frank does it. The biggest thing I have learned is that people come to see you because of your energy. And you will be able to help them no matter what. You already have what you need. If you continue to learn and work on yourself and don’t let that plateau off, you will build your skill.”

The future of Energetic Nutrition

Addison shared her goals for the future which include writing a book on postpartum care. She has written one E-Book entitled Breastfeeding Energetics, which is available on her website.

In the past Addison has taught workshops for women and intends to start those offerings again soon.

She often refers clients to her website to read blog posts and articles. Her site has several articles about MFT, many by Dr. Springob.

In closing Addison said, “I am humbled and grateful to have found this way of helping people. To Dr. Frank, infinite gratitude and great respect.”
